Himalaya Eye Hospital (HEH), located in Gharipatan, Pokhara, was inaugurated on 1 March 1993 by the late King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev. It was established through collaboration between Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS) and the Netherlands Eye Care Foundation (formerly Oogkamp Himalaya.
