Overview of HDSN
Established in 2007, Health and Development Society Nepal (HDSN) is a non-profit, non governmental Social Development Organization. Registered under the Society Registration Act 1977 with the Chief District Officer's Office, Lalitpur and affiliated with Social Welfare Council HDSN has been formed to take over and continue the work of United Mission to Nepal Oral Health Programme (UMN OHP).
It aims to provide quality oral health services, integrate oral health in general health and also engage in development initiatives with focus on oral health.
HDSN is governed by the General Council (GC) that elects an Executive Committee for two years. The Executive Committee meets regularly to monitor advice and make overall decisions regarding HDSN programmes. It also provides a mandate to execute strategies and monitor the annual plan of the organization.
HDSN has prepared it strategy with a motto of “ensuring health rights of communities through oral health”.
