The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at KIST Medical College & Teaching Hospital is a five-year undergraduate program affiliated with Tribhuvan University’s Institute of Medicine (IOM). This comprehensive program provides education and training in all aspects of dental and oral health, including dental anatomy, oral pathology, conservative dentistry, oral surgery, orthodontics, periodontology, and prosthodontics. The curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge with extensive clinical practice in KIST’s dental facility, enabling students to develop practical skills in diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient management. Graduates are qualified to become registered dental practitioners, providing preventive, restorative, and surgical dental care in hospitals, clinics, and community health settings.
