The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management program at Kathmandu University School of Management (KU SOM) is an advanced research degree program launched in July 2014 . This program offers substantial foundation in advanced theory, research, and analytical skills to help candidates pursue advanced study in management and conduct high-quality research independently . The curriculum at KU SOM requires candidates to complete advanced coursework before embarking on their research proposal, with a minimum study period of three years and maximum of five years for full-time candidates . Eligibility requires an MPhil in Management or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 3.25 on a scale of 4.0 or 65% aggregate, along with a research proposal and admission test . Candidates must extract and publish at least two research papers from their study area in peer-reviewed journals during their degree .
